I received my Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and literature with a minor in communication from California State University Dominguez Hills including a year aboard as an exchange student to Mexico where I attended IberoAmericana Universidad. My master’s degree is in Public Administration from Central Michigan State University and I also hold an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S) from Liberty University. Currently, I am working on my doctorate degree in transformative learning.
I have ten years of experience in education, and I also served my country for eight years as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Army with a deployment to Afghanistan 2004-2005, a year in Korea, and TDYs to Japan and Thailand. My husband is a retired Army Major with over 20 years of active duty service which includes 2 deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan and Jordan. I also have two children attending public school here in El Paso, Texas.
I have a passion for education and helping students achieve academic success. I also love the military and the Soldiers that serve. I look forward to working with parents, teachers, students and other school community members on setting high goals for student learning and academic success.
