* WooHoooo! Dress Down Day at Bliss for students was pushed back to October 16, 2009 to give more time for everybody to participate. So come on and pay $1.00 for this dress down day. PTA will be collecting the $1.00 in the morning out front and on the playground.
*General Membership Meeting, Oct 15, 2009 @ 6 p.m.

Welcome Back Everyone!
The new PTA board would like to welcome students, staff and parents back to Bliss Elementary for a wonderful school year. The Parent Teacher Association of Bliss Elementary exists to help facilitate and promote our family-school partnerships to help our teachers and parents to foster a successful elementary baseline for our impressionable young and gifted students for tomorrow’s challenges, innovations, and technologies.
Your PTA board is working hard to plan some upcoming events and school projects. Our focus this school is the beautification of the schools play areas. We are planning a number of fundraisers to help support this project and everyone’s participation would be appreciated. Some of the upcoming events include a membership drive, a book fair, and a Fall Festival. Let’s show our children that we care about our school. Support your local PTA!

Show your school pride by wearing your very own Sprit Shirt to our PTA meetings, special school events, and School Spirit Fridays. And, coming soon we will have Spirit Sweatshirts available for our teachers, faculty and our PTA board members. So, you need to keep a look out for them.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
If you are not a PTA member, please join during our Fall Membership Drive. Envelopes are being sent home with your children. The fee is $6.00 per person. You or your child may return the envelope with your dues to the drop box in the Echo Room. Help your child’s class win a Pizza Party. (Cash Only, Please!)
**** Candy donations needed for Fall festival. Boxes will be set up in foyer next week. Please send in a bag or more and help our festival be a success! *****
